How You Doin'?
Hmm, where is that draft coming from?
Yes, Yes, Yes, as predicted Nathan really enjoys playing Naked Nate. This morning, Jonathon went and got him and he had taken off his jammy bottoms. It is VERY cute, now...but I fear at age 5 I will get a call from the Kindergarten teacher telling me that my son wont leave his clothes on ;) The above picture is ONE of the times that Nathan as quickly crawled away while getting his pants changed or his clothes on....or atleasting ATTEMPTING to get his diaper changed and his clothes on.
Summer Fun!
Here in Louisville, they have a little "water park" area down by the Ohio River. Its basically a huge playground, and an area that has HUGE sprinklers. Anyways, the last couple of weeks it has been so hot here that Nathan needed some fun in the sun and a way to cool off...boy oh boy, do we have a waterboy on our hands! He LOVES it!!!

Whew! It has been a while!
WOW, I didnt realize it had been so long since I last updated Nathan! Derby came and went and we have just been super busy ever since! Hard to believe that Nathan will turn 9 months this Thursday (also, Uncle Matt's birthday!). NINE MONTHS! Wow!!! Here are a few pictures until I can get a real update together :) OH, and HAPPY MAMMA's DAY! :)

Learning to Share
Crocidiles and Sweet Potatoes
Creepin' and Crawlin'
It is official...the Nate Dawg is crawling!
Okay, he still rolls/creeps/skoots the majority of the time, but yesterday, he actually CRAWLED many times in the process! Of course, its still not fast enough for his liking so now he is also trying to get on his feet...but, doesnt quite understand that he can't use his hands, so he ends up on his hands and feet, and a bridge type position. Then frustration occurs because he cant move in that position (as seen above).
OH, and another update...he has another tooth! It is his upper left tooth, and it isnt quite in yet, but you can sure see it coming! No wonder he has been a drooling fool the last week or so! :)
Oh and while I am at it, I might as well just update a few other things that I hadnt gotten the chance to yet...let's see...
Books
Nathan LOVES books. Well, he no longer likes to just eat books (except the Baby Einstein book that Grand Mom Gerwing gave him. He LOVES to eat that book so we have banned it indefinately. Although, half of it is gone anyhow.), he now really enjoys being read a book. His favorite thing to do is sit in my lap while I read him a book. Its not just any old book either, he doesnt much like the books with actual stories, he prefers the simple books that just have pictures of animlas or other kids, or letters and colors. He is a simple kind of guy...;)
Cats
Nathan started noticing the cats a few months ago, but now he REALLY notices them and giggles when they come around. Lucky for us, and for the cats, they dont get too close...except Kitty. Kitty is so attention starved that she is brave enough to let Nathan "pet" her. She rubs up against him and WANTs attention from him, however Nathan normally grabs and yanks her, which isnt good. Kitty is a VERY good cat though, as she has never been agressive to him. She just sits there and takes it like a champ. This morning, he was testing out his new crawling skills and started crawling after her...she was a little uneasy about that, but I think she liked the attention.
YEAH!!!
Nathan has learned to clap his hands whenever we say "Yeah!". Or when he sees someone else clapping. The other morning, while getting ready for the gym, Regis and Kelly was on and Nathan was playing on the floor...when they introduced Regis and Kelly he saw everyone clapping, so he started clapping too! It was quite entertaining and one of those moments that the video camera should have been charged and ready to go!
Copy Cat
Nathan is such a copy cat. He will click his tongue if you do it first, or stick out is tongue after you do it. It is entertaining. He as started wrinkling his nose when he smiles or laughs, I think because I make that face to him a lot. Its fun to see what kinds of faces and noises he can make.
Thats all I can muster up right now...per normal I am sure I am forgetting something important...

FYI...
I think I have fixed the "comment" part of Nathan's blog...you should be able to leave comments if you would like. Sorry about that, one of the settings somehow got changed at some point.
:)
:)
Precious.
Nathan is a VERY lucky little guy. He has SO many people that love him and want what is best for him. Two of which are his Nan and Paps. Nan and Paps come over every Friday to snuggle and kiss all over Nathan. Nathan also gets to spend every Wednesday over at their house, which they all three just love! :) Well, today, Nan made a very good point...a point that I should have realized prior to her saying something...there arent any pictures of just her and Nathan. That is AWFUL on my part. He really needs to know how much his grandparents and great grandparents love him. So...I took the opportunity to snap a few photos of the two. I dont think they like each other at all ;)

Also...as a side note...Nathan as learned to really ham it up for the camera. He knows that when he sees the red light on the camera, the flash is about ready to go off...and once he sees the red light, he knows its time to smile. No more Stone Cold Nathan for photo shoots! ;)

Under is more fun!
Swim Class
As I have been mentioning, I was going to put Nathan in swim lessons...well, we finally started at the beginning of April. Nathan really seems to enjoy them. He splashes and splashes around. Let me clarify though, these arent really swim lessons, they are more "get your child used to the water" type classes. We sing alot of nursery songs, and try to just get the kids comfortable being in the water.

(We are taking the classes with Keaton and Liz, as you can see them in all the photos. It was actually Liz's parents that took these photos. :))
